ELMI Transportation LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator / Freight Dispatcher to join our growing transportation team. This position plays a critical role in coordinating freight operations, managing driver schedules, tracking shipments, and ensuring exceptional service for customers and business partners.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch loads to drivers while optimizing routes and delivery schedules
- Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure on-time performance
- Communicate with drivers, brokers, shippers, and customers regarding load status and operational updates
- Source and secure freight through load boards and broker relationships
- Negotiate rates and assist in maximizing load profitability
- Resolve transportation issues, delays, and service concerns quickly and professionally
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, shipment tracking information, and transportation documents
- Process rate confirmations, delivery paperwork, and other freight-related documentation
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or supply chain operations preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics software systems
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with load boards, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and dispatch software
- Knowledge of freight markets, carrier operations, and route planning
- Familiarity with ELD systems, FMCSA regulations, and DOT compliance
- Experience working with owner-operators and small fleets
- Bilingual (English/Russian or English/Spanish) is a plus
