POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Writer: greets customers, open work orders, and will be responsible for performing various administrative services, and providing general administrative support in maintaining the records associated with the day-to-day operations for all County fleet vehicles.
PAY TRANSPARANCY/COMPENSATION
$22.00 - $24.00/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writes customers service order upon arriving at service lane at any of the five locations
- Open and close work orders and dispatches for all County vehicle fleet
- Write estimates, open work order lines, and file documents
- Input / update vehicles' maintenance information into M5 program
- Assign work to automotive technicians and services technicians
- Manages fleet and assist with all county vehicles
- Answer phones and route accordingly
- Giving approval, keying repairs, and processing invoices for payment
- Park, Jump-start, pick up and deliver County vehicles as needed to any vendor or County facility.
- Maintain daily vehicles accountability, parked location, lane, and vehicle status
- Picking up and delivering vehicles to County and any vendors as required
- Maintains personal and office clean: sweep, mop and take out trash
- Assist with breakdown services, repairs, and accidents to the most effective repair location
- Ability to professionally interact with customers, colleagues, and to foster positive business relationships
- Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Monday-Friday, alternating hours between 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, some weekend hours may also be required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in the automotive service industry preferred
- Must complete county required Live Scan
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Effective oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
- Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push or move objects up to 50 lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools.
