Under the direction of the Head Irrigator; operate, service and repair/replace the varied components of an irrigation system. Will perform other job projects and work related projects as assigned.

Operates, maintains and repairs a complex irrigation system.

Assure leaks in distribution lines, valves and risers are all in good repair and functioning to requirements.

Repair control lines and sprinkler heads.

Maintains and repairs as necessary the master and satellite controllers.

Operates and maintains the well and pumping station.

Picks up and returns all equipment at designated locations within maintenance department facility and assists with cleaning of maintenance facility.

Helps in project work; assists in the construction of new greens, tees and fairways and grades and prepares soil bases, lays sod and seeds tees, greens and fairways.

May be asked to operate light equipment if appropriate.

Must wear clean uniform and maintain acceptable personal hygiene standards.

Performs other duties and projects as requested.

A minimum of 2 years of knowledge and practical experience in the methods and materials used in grounds and landscaping area irrigation systems

knowledge of the tools, methods construction/maintenance work including a working knowledge of and the proven ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
- The ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
- Must possess the physical strength, stamina and agility required to perform tasks as described in the desert environment.

Possess a valid California drivers license.

Ability to follow oral and written directions and possess exceptional cooperative and team spirit attributes.
