Discount Direct is looking for an energetic, motivated salesperson to join our Outlet team in Tukwila.
This is not your typical furniture store — and this is not your typical furniture sales job.
Discount Direct has been in business for 17 years, and during that time we have built a strong, loyal customer following throughout the Puget Sound area. We have an established customer base, a strong demographic, and a business model that consistently brings customers through our doors.
There is constant customer traffic at this location.
Our Outlet is a very unique retail concept with more than 50,000 sq. ft. of merchandise available to sell and inventory that is constantly changing. Customers come in because they know they're going to find great deals and there is always something new.
That combination creates an incredible opportunity for a motivated salesperson.
REAL EARNING POTENTIAL
Our salespeople at this location average approximately $8,000–$12,000+ per month, or approximately $100,000–$140,000+ per year, with additional upside for a strong performer.
These aren't earnings based on what someone could theoretically make. This location has the traffic, inventory, and established customer following to give good salespeople the opportunity to earn a substantial income.
WHY THIS SALES POSITION IS DIFFERENT
One of the biggest problems in commissioned retail sales is having too many salespeople fighting over too few customers.
We don't operate that way.
We intentionally do not pack our sales floor with salespeople. We want the people on our team to have enough customer opportunities to make real money.
At our Outlet, you'll have:
- Over 50,000 sq. ft. of merchandise to sell
- Constant customer traffic
- A large, established customer following built over 17 years
- Constantly changing inventory that keeps customers coming back
- A wide variety of products and price points

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who is:
- Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable approaching customers
- Highly motivated by sales and earning potential

- Great at communicating and connecting with people
- Comfortable asking for and closing the sale
- Dependable and willing to work
- Good at following up with customers
- Positive and able to fit in with an established team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing inventory
SALES EXPERIENCE
Furniture sales experience is a plus, but we're more interested in finding the right person than simply the right resume.
Experience in furniture, mattresses, appliances, automotive, jewelry, cell phones, home improvement, or another commissioned/high-ticket sales environment can all translate well to this position.
If you're a strong salesperson currently working somewhere with too many salespeople, not enough customers, limited inventory, or limited earning potential, you should talk to us.
COMPENSATION
Average salesperson earnings at this location: $8,000–$12,000+ per month
Approximately $100,000–$140,000+ annually
This is a full-time, performance-driven sales position with significant earning potential.
