American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level II Trauma Center within a major academic health system, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and telemetry competency.

Short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System

Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for general medical/surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring

Patient ratio of 1:6

Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Every other weekend required

Floating required as needed

Charting via Epic

Free parking available on site

Active RN license — Connecticut (CT) or Compact license required

Current BLS certification required

Telemetry (Tele) certification required

Must pass an EKG/Tele exam prior to starting the assignment

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Level II Trauma Center or equivalent acute care hospital experience required

Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions or priors on their nursing license

1 professional reference required for consideration

Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted

COVID vaccine and booster required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted

Candidates who were previously employed as permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility during the assignment

Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
