Growing, fast-pace Vascular Surgery practice looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to serve our outpatient surgery suite. The ideal candidate will have experience with PreOp and PACU, and be a responsible well-trained professional, able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. They will show compassion, work well under stressful situations, and provide exceptional patient care. Our goal is to promote patient well-being through high quality nursing. Experience administering sedation and Epic EMR is a major plus.
Skills
- Proven experience as a registered nurse, ideally within a procedural setting
- Knowledge and capability of administering moderate sedation
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- Valid nursing license

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, IV insertion, and blood draw.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and manage airway in critical situations.
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options.
- Uphold high standards of communication and professionalism in all interactions.
- Assist with coordinating nursing coverage from our PRN pool when necessary
