American Traveler is hiring a Surgical RN for a 13-week OR assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience, with Open Heart experience preferred and MO or compact RN licensure required.

Work in an acute care hospital OR/Surgery department
-
Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
-
On-call required: Monday–Friday 3:30 PM–7:00 AM and Saturday–Sunday 7:00 AM–7:00 AM when scheduled

Perioperative patient population spanning neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults
-
13-week contract
-
Active MO or compact RN license required
-
Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted)

Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience required

Open Heart experience preferred

DOB and SSN required for consideration

Accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, with indirect accountability to the House Supervisor

Responsible for coordinating patient care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist throughout the perioperative process

Directs and guides OR Technicians and other personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards

Collaborates with other departments to ensure continuity of care, efficient patient flow, and unit organization

Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services
