Description: Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is accepting applications for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Pre-Kindergarten Paraprofessional. The successful candidate will provide individualized support to a student within the preschool setting while assisting with instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and daily living needs under the direction of certified staff and related service personnel. The paraprofessional will help foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that promotes student growth and independence. This is a cross categorical position working one-on-one with students that have a wide range of abilities and needs.
This is a full-time position for the 20262027 school year.
Qualifications:

Must have a Paraprofessional (Aide) or teaching license (short-term Paraprofessional License approval option is available).

Applicant must be able to pass a physical ability test.

Experience working with young children preferred.

Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills.

Ability to follow student support plans and work collaboratively as part of a team.

NOTE: Our existing 4-year collective bargaining agreement will expire at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and we will be negotiating a new agreement that will begin with the 2026-2027 school year.
