We are seeking a reliable, friendly and motivated cook to join our crew! Applicant must have some kitchen experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work closely and communicate efficiently with your team, be open to change and willing to collaborate as a team as we frequently change the menu and add specials. This role will involve some prep work as everything is prepared fresh and most items are made in house and line cook working alongside co workers to build sandwiches, salads, etc.
Prep consists of following recipes provided, maintaining safety protocols when using equipment and sharp knives, keeping work area clean and organized and communicating with the line. It's important to understand basic food prep procedures, food safe protocols, stocking fridge and maintaining quality control. Also as part of any kitchen job we do end of day clean up as a team doing the dishes, sweeping and mopping.
The line cook portion of the job involves understanding the menu and knowing the ingredients particularly for allergy reasons. You must be able to follow a kitchen display screen to prepare the order as asked by the customer online or through the front of the house. Must be able to work well under pressure, communicate effectively with peers and expedite orders as quickly as possible without altering the integrity. We are a small team and are a busy kitchen but we work very well together and have a lot of fun.
