Position Overview
JDB Plumbing & Heating is seeking an organized, motivated, and experienced Project Manager to oversee plumbing and HVAC construction projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of assigned projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with experience in mechanical construction, plumbing, HVAC, or related industries.
Responsibilities
- Manage plumbing and HVAC construction projects from award through closeout.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans to ensure successful project execution.
- Coordinate with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Review contracts, project specifications, drawings, and scope requirements.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, costs, and schedules.
- Manage project budgets, job costing, change orders, and financial reporting.
- Procure materials and coordinate equipment deliveries.
- Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve project challenges, delays, and conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable codes.
- Support field supervisors, foremen, and project teams to achieve project goals.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.
- Assist with project forecasting, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of project management experience in plumbing, HVAC, mechanical construction, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems, construction processes, and project management principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and construction management platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license required.
