A loving family of three in Durham is seeking a warm, attentive, and experienced full-time nanny to care for their sweet 3-month-old daughter. As first-time parents, Mom and Dad are excited to find someone who will become a trusted part of their family and provide loving, developmentally focused care for their daughter over the long term.Their daughter is a happy, easygoing infant who loves making eye contact, cooing, and engaging with those around her. She is beginning to reach for toys, enjoys interactive play, and is learning to sleep more independently. The family is looking for a nanny who genuinely enjoys spending time with infants and will nurture her growth through reading, singing, tummy time, and age-appropriate developmental activities. She has experienced intermittent choking during feedings and episodes of spit-up, which have been improving as she grows, but continue to be watched. Because of this, the nanny must be attentive during feedings, comfortable recognizing signs of choking, and be CPR and First Aid certified with confidence performing infant back blows if ever needed.
Both parents primarily work from home in separate offices, allowing the nanny to have a dedicated space with the child while parents remain available if needed. The family also has two very friendly cats, so applicants should be comfortable working in a home with pets.
Daily responsibilities include providing attentive infant care throughout the day, including bottle feeding, diaper changes, naps, developmental play, and maintaining a consistent routine. Child-related household tasks include reassembling clean breast pump parts and freezing excess breast milk at the end of the day. As their daughter grows, the nanny may also enjoy taking her on enriching outings such as walks, library story times, parks, and swim lessons.
