Position: Maintenance Technician
Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 1:30pm to 10:00pm, with some required overtime and weekend during busy production times
Classification: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-exempt
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Job Summary:
Responsible for facility and food processing/packaging equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair needs. Performance uptime and equipment reliability, safety lock outs, helping with capital installation projects, overhauls to support the company’s needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Good understanding of work safety guidelines
· Work with and within a team to build and maintain a team environment
· Assist in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair needs
· Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on all plant equipment
· Perform preventive maintenance on machinery that ensures uptime and reliability of facility and food processing equipment.
· Troubleshooting equipment, other projects as needed.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
· Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance industry
· Ability to troubleshoot and identify the cause of equipment breakdown
· Experience in installing, operating, maintaining and repairing food processing equipment
· Ability to work alone/unsupervised
· Basic knowledge of O.S.H.A laws and regulations in the manufacturing field.
· Knowledge of hand tools, wielding/cutting, tape measure
· PLC knowledge helpful
This position requires the employee to stand and walk frequently, occasionally lift and/or move, push/pull up to 50 lbs. while moving products and/or packaging. Specific vision abilities required by this job include far and near vision and the ability to see color. The mental and physical requirements described are representative of those must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Pay: $32.00 - $39.00 per hour
