The Swing Golf Lounge is seeking a polished, hands-on Restaurant Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations and ensure an exceptional experience for members and guests. This position leads the service team during each shift, maintains fine-dining standards, and coordinates closely with the culinary and bar teams to deliver seamless, personalized hospitality.
The ideal candidate is a confident floor presence who leads by example, anticipates operational needs, and handles guest concerns with professionalism, discretion, and genuine care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily front-of-house operations across the dining room, lounge, bar, and other guest-facing areas
- Conduct pre-shift meetings covering reservations, VIPs, menu updates, service assignments, special events, and operational priorities
- Direct and support servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, food runners, barbacks, and baristas throughout service
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor, monitoring service timing, table maintenance, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
- Ensure opening, closing, and sidework responsibilities are completed thoroughly and on time
- Coordinate with the culinary and bar teams to ensure accurate orders, proper pacing, and timely delivery
- Manage seating flow and table assignments in partnership with the host team
- Anticipate member and guest needs while maintaining awareness of preferences, dietary restrictions, and special occasions
- Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally, taking appropriate action to achieve a thoughtful resolution
- Support staff during peak service periods by assisting wherever needed
- Ensure all food, beverage, sanitation, safety, and responsible alcohol-service standards are followed
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, uniform standards, and professional conduct
- Provide real-time coaching, recognition, and corrective guidance to employees
- Assist with training and developing new and existing team members
- Document incidents, employee concerns, guest feedback, and operational issues for senior management
- Review guest checks, discounts, voids, comps, and payment discrepancies in accordance with company policy
- Assist with inventory controls, supply levels, cash-handling procedures, and loss-prevention practices
- Maintain the appearance, organization, and readiness of all front-of-house areas
- Support private events, golf-related functions, and special member experiences
- Communicate shift results, maintenance concerns, staffing needs, and follow-up items to the management team
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–3 years of restaurant leadership experience, preferably in fine dining, upscale hospitality, a private club, or a high-volume operation
- Strong knowledge of front-of-house service standards and restaurant operations
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse service team
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Professional appearance and a calm, confident demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience handling guest concerns with discretion and sound judgment
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale, reservation, and scheduling systems
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service requirements
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
Physical Requirements
