*Overview*
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in excavation and dirtwork estimating and a keen eye for detail.
*Responsibilities*
- Analyze project blue prints and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements
- Utilize software, and other estimating tools to create detailed project bids
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
- Provide timely and accurate estimates for change orders
- Maintain documentation of all estimates, bids, and related correspondence
*Experience*
- Proven experience in excavation estimating
- Familiarity with excavation and construstion management processes
- Strong knowledge of project management principles
- Ability to read and interpret construction and excavation blueprints and specifications, including underground utilities and house plans
- Proficiency in software tools and other estimating software
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Understanding of cost control and pricing strategies

This is a contracted 1099 position with ability to work on your own in a hybrid setting. Job site reviews will be expected along with attending bid meetings when necessary. This position is an hourly base pay with potential to earn an additional percentage if estimates are accepted. More information is available upon request.
