Overview
Civil Core Talent is partnering with a reputable heavy civil contractor to seek a Traffic Control Supervisor and play a vital role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and smooth operations across construction projects. In this energetic leadership position, you will oversee traffic management activities, coordinate with construction crews, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Your expertise will help facilitate seamless movement of vehicles and personnel while maintaining a secure work environment. Duties
- Work with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman, Subcontractors and other Representatives to ensure all state and local requirements are met.
- Complete all traffic control reports in a timely manner.
- Read job plans and create traffic safety plan for best traffic control needs and flow.
- Direct traffic at construction sites or events to ensure the safe and efficient flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs
- Communicate with drivers, pedestrians, and construction workers to provide clear instructions and guidance.
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed.
- Report any incidents or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a traffic controller or in a related field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, pedestrians, and construction workers.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license is required
