Job Summary

Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Ensure all kitchenware is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and stored appropriately to meet sanitation standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and prep work under supervision.
- Support the bussing team by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
- Follow strict sanitation protocols to uphold kitchen health and safety standards at all times.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, and supplies safely according to proper handling procedures.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as sinks, dishwashers, and other small appliances with care and proper technique.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures in a restaurant setting.
- Experience with food handling, food preparation, or restaurant operations is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper manual handling techniques.
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep tasks when necessary.
- Excellent cleaning skills with an eye for detail to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen area.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and support overall restaurant operations.
