D Land Group Property Management is seeking a dependable and motivated Property Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with strong handyman skills who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and helping maintain residential and commercial properties throughout Metro Detroit.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing apartment turnovers, and performing general property maintenance. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, and capable of handling a wide variety of repair and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete apartment/unit turnovers between residents
- Perform drywall repairs, patching, and painting
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests and service calls
- Repair doors, locks, cabinets, hardware, and other building components
- Troubleshoot and complete minor plumbing repairs
- Troubleshoot and complete minor electrical repairs
- Install and repair fixtures, blinds, shelving, appliances, and other property items
- Perform general carpentry and handyman work
- Assist with preventative maintenance and property inspections
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Document completed work and communicate effectively with management and residents
- Assist with seasonal and exterior maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of maintenance, handyman, construction, or property maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Professional appearance and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- EPA certification is a plus but not required
