Job Summary:
The Banquet Captain is responsible for leading banquet staff and overseeing the successful execution of weddings, meetings, social events, and special functions. This position ensures exceptional guest service, proper event setup, smooth event flow, and adherence to company standards.

Expected Pay Range: Base rate $13.00 plus portion of service charge pool. Earnings will vary and are estimated at $32-37 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead banquet servers and support staff during assigned events.

Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all event details are executed accurately.

Conduct pre-shift meetings and assign staff responsibilities.

Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and guests during events.

Monitor food and beverage service to ensure quality and presentation standards are met.

Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.

Maintain communication with culinary, sales, and operations teams.

Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies.

Assist with training and mentoring banquet staff.
Job Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in banquet, catering, hotel, or restaurant experience.

Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Strong leadership and teamwork skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
