Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Lead Caregiver to oversee the daily operations of an Adult Family Group Home. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory care requirements. Your leadership will ensure a safe, nurturing environment where residents can thrive and feel valued. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate caregiving staff to deliver exceptional resident care, ensuring adherence to individualized care plans and safety protocols
- Monitor residents’ health status by observing vital signs, administering medications, and recording patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts, and meal preparation
- Implement and update care plans tailored to each resident’s specific needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care strategies
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by overseeing cleaning routines, sanitation practices, and proper storage of medications and supplies
- Conduct regular patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, escalating concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
- Support residents during social activities and community outings to promote engagement and overall well-being
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with a focus on adult care
- Strong knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and HIPAA compliance
- Certified in First Aid and CPR; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or hospice care are a plus
- Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease or memory care needs
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for resident assistance and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach toward residents and team collaboration
- Prior leadership experience in caregiving settings is highly desirable

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
