Sales Estimator

We are looking for a Sales Estimator who is organized, detail-oriented and has a professional appearance and demeanor. It is important that you display excellent customer service skills, including solid communication and interpersonal abilities, and the ability to interact in a positive way with our clients, as well as our craftsmen, management, and office personnel.
In this role, you will prepare cost estimates that address every part of a customer’s project taking into consideration all relevant factors in the plan such as: kinds/amounts of materials, labor, and equipment. You’ll need to be able to communicate effectively with customers up until the time a job is booked and generate all necessary paperwork from a lead to a signed contract. You will also be maintaining all necessary sales and marketing products, monitoring vendor pricing changes, and generating leads through sales and marketing efforts.
Specific qualifications for the role include:
- 5 years of experience estimating in the home improvement/handyman trade
- Strong math, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with local and state building codes
- Knowledge of how to read and comprehend blueprints
- Knowledge of the multiple areas of home improvement: carpentry, painting, drywall, light plumbing and electrical, etc.
- Strong people skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Valid Driver’s License
- Smartphone and/or consistent access to the Internet
