Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism, making them feel valued from arrival to departure
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow
- Answer phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assisting with booking requests
- Maintain organized waiting lists and seating charts to ensure timely service and minimal wait times
- Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen staff to relay guest needs and special requests promptly
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to cleanliness protocols in the host station and seating areas
- Assist in guest relations by addressing concerns politely and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout their visit
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; experience with hotel or restaurant POS systems is advantageous
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow effectively
- Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations is desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
