Duties
- Develop engaging choreography that aligns with team goals and performance themes, incorporating various dance styles such as ballet, theater dance, and contemporary movements
- Plan and organize regular rehearsals to improve technique, timing, and stage presence while maintaining a fun and motivating atmosphere
- Manage the recruitment, auditioning, and onboarding of new team members to ensure a diverse and talented roster
- Provide constructive feedback on individual and group performances to foster continuous improvement
- Coordinate costumes, props, and photography sessions to enhance visual presentation during performances
- Oversee classroom management during rehearsals and training sessions, ensuring safety and discipline while encouraging creativity
- Collaborate with event organizers to prepare the team for performances at community events, parades, or competitions
- Support team members’ personal development by integrating lessons on childhood development, behavior management, and early childhood education when applicable
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching or coaching dance techniques such as ballet or theater dance
- Strong background in choreography development and lesson planning for diverse age groups including children and adults
- Experience working with children or in early childhood education environments with preschool or childcare settings
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies tailored for dynamic group settings
- Knowledge of photography techniques to capture performance moments effectively
- Background in culinary arts or cooking is a plus for team-building activities involving food-related events
- Previous leadership roles managing teams or clubs in educational or recreational settings involving special education or behavior management skills is desirable
