Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their preferences and needs
- Provide detailed product demonstrations and educate customers on different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, highlighting their benefits and usage instructions
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product visibility
- Manage inventory levels through regular stock checks and communicate replenishment needs promptly
- Enforce compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations during sales and interactions
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or reservations
- Assist with training new team members and supervising junior staff to uphold service standards
- Ensure a clean, organized workspace that adheres to safety protocols at all times
- Package and other manufacturing for Dispensary
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or specialty retail environments
- Supervising experience is highly valued for leadership opportunities within the team
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math concepts such as cash handling and sales calculations
- Experience conducting product demos or educational sessions enhances customer engagement skills
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele
- Knowledge of cannabis products, industry regulations, or related fields is advantageous but not required—training will be provided
- Excellent phone etiquette combined with outstanding customer service skills ensures positive interactions at all touchpoints
