Job Description
At Simplifi EDU, we believe AP History classes are the courses where students stop memorizing what happened and start arguing about why it mattered, and a great teacher is what makes that shift happen.
This role isn't about teaching students how to make flashcards and accurate timelines. AP U.S. History, AP World History, and AP European History ask students to do something genuinely difficult: weigh conflicting evidence, build a defensible argument out of it, and write that argument down under time pressure. Our job working 1:1 with these students is to sit alongside them while they learn how, meeting them where they are and making the material come to life.
We're looking for someone who lights up around this material. If you're a current or former AP History classroom teacher who takes real pride in the eras you teach, and you know how to get a 16-year-old to care about a DBQ, keep reading.
Who We’re Looking For
We are currently seeking Online AP History Tutors with prior AP or IB classroom teaching experience, or extensive experience preparing students specifically for the AP U.S. History, AP World History, and/or AP European History exams.
A note to multidisciplinary educators: We welcome tutors with additional proficiencies in related humanities, such as English, sociology, psychology, and philosophy, so long as you have the core history skills we need.
