Elite Marine Dock & Seawall is seeking a highly organized, dependable Inventory & Yard Manager to oversee our warehouse, inventory, and job material management. This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring our crews have the right materials, equipment, and tools for every project while maintaining an organized and efficient yard.
The ideal candidate enjoys organization, takes pride in accuracy, and can thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts of marine construction materials.
- Prepare and stage materials for upcoming dock, seawall, boat lift, and marine construction projects.
- Track materials leaving and returning to the yard.
- Ensure unused job materials are returned, counted, and restocked.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate reorder needs before stock runs low.
- Maintain organization of the warehouse, yard, and storage areas.
- Track company tools and equipment and ensure accountability.
- Coordinate with project managers and foremen regarding daily material needs.
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other yard equipment (or willingness to learn).
- Keep inventory records updated using company software and spreadsheets.
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, logistics, or construction yard experience preferred.
- Construction or marine industry experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory software, tablets).
- Valid Florida Driver License (clean driving record preferred).
- Forklift experience is a plus.
