Fellowship Summary:
We serve as a training site for new nurse practitioners and offer a structured onboarding experience that helps recent graduates transition into confident, independent clinicians.
We are recruiting newly graduated nurse practitioners for our Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship Program. This program equips graduates with the knowledge and confidence to excel in independent clinical practice. The 12-month fellowship includes structured learning in essential clinical areas of primary care. Fellows receive clinical training with opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects, hands-on procedure training, and mentorship from experienced providers. The program is a transition-to-practice model with progressive patient ramp-up. Our fellows:

Assume responsibility for providing compassionate, comprehensive primary care services (i.e. health and social histories, physical exams, acute and chronic disease management, formulating differential diagnosis, and providing evidence-based treatments, according to policy and procedures) with supervision by an experienced primary care provider
? Engage during weekly specialty clinic rotations and didactic learning sessions
? Collaborate and consult with other health professionals to provide individualized patient-centered care
Education and Experience:
- Recent graduate (within 18 months) from an accredited MSN or DNP program
- Current board certification as an FNP or AGPCNP
- Licensed as an APRN in WV or eligible to obtain WV license

A: Yes! Our fellowship welcomes qualified nurse practitioners from across the U.S. who are eligible for licensure in West Virginia.

A: Many of our fellows choose to stay and grow with Cabin Creek Health Systems as full-time providers. However, the fellowship has no additional employment obligations after graduation.
