Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate music endorsement(s)
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing music curriculum for young students
- Skilled in communicating effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to plan engaging lessons and adapt instruction for diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach general music classes to kindergarten through second grade students
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district music standards
- Inspire a love for music through creative instruction, hands-on activities, and performances
- Assess student progress and provide appropriate feedback
- Collaborate with general education staff to integrate music learning campus-wide
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and occasional evening performances
