American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a 13-week mid-shift travel assignment at a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center in Albany, NY, requiring 2+ years of experience and active ARRT and NY State registration.

Hospital-based radiology department at a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center

Friday through Monday, 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Every weekend required

No on-call responsibilities

Epic EMR experience required

Minimum 2 years of recent Radiology Tech experience required

Graduate of an approved professional academic imaging program (Associate degree, Diploma in X-Ray, or Vocational School Diploma accepted)

Active ARRT registration required upon hire

Active NYS registration or limited permit to practice in New York required — license required if applicable

BLS certification required (AHA or RQI only)

Epic EMR experience required

Strong OR and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred

US Social Security Number required
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations are not accepted

Performs technical imaging procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, and Radiologist

Creates diagnostic images and ensures a safe, positive patient experience

Practices and enforces radiation safety measures in accordance with NY State Department of Health Code Part 16
-
Supports teaching and ongoing professional development as imaging technology evolves

Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
