Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing transactions efficiently.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine pairings and cocktail options, to enhance guest experience through upselling techniques like OpenTable reservations and spirits recommendations.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally, fostering repeat business through excellent customer service.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in dining areas, bar stations, and service stations in accordance with sanitation regulations.
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages and menu items to maximize sales opportunities.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly attitude and professional appearance.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and sales transactions processing.
