Juvenile Administrative Support I
Starting wage is $16.20 an hour or $33,692.00 annually with the potential of a pay increase after a 6-month successful probationary period.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual with the desire to contribute in a fast-paced work environment that serves in the organization and operation of a juvenile detention center. Work involves performing general secretarial and clerical duties for a juvenile detention center. Work requires the exercise of initiative, independent judgment and discretion in handling delegated details and the performance of various support duties.
We will provide all the training you will need to be successful.
Primary Hours will be 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
Characteristic Duties:

- Screens and refers callers and visitors, answers various inquiries and provides information; maintains appointment schedules and electronic calendars.
- Identifies critical or important calls and advises appropriate staff.
- Electronic filing of court documents.
- Processes and maintains admission and release paperwork.
- Maintains monthly/year-to-date spreadsheets.
- Performs related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of administrative support staff practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic.
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to make work decisions in accordance with office policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a variety of complex records and prepare reports from such records.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and demonstrated superior communication and inter-personal skills.
- Skill in the operation of standard office equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Graduation from high school and two years secretarial or general clerical experience.
- Must be free from all illegal drugs.
- Must have a clean background check.
