This position is ideal for someone who feels called to serve vulnerable women and children through hands-on ministry, mentorship, and practical life support. The Resident Advisor plays a vital role in fostering emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual growth while helping residents prepare for healthy, independent living.
Candidates must have experience working with individuals experiencing mental illness and demonstrate patience, emotional maturity, professionalism, and a servant’s heart.
Ministry Responsibilities
The Resident Advisor serves as both mentor and support resource for residents by helping mothers navigate daily challenges, build life skills, and develop healthy decision-making habits rooted in dignity, accountability, and compassion.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a safe, structured, clean, and welcoming home environment
- Building positive relationships with pregnant mothers and families through encouragement, mentoring, and compassionate accountability
- Teaching and modeling life skills such as parenting, budgeting, communication, organization, healthy routines, and problem-solving
- Assisting residents with childcare support and parenting guidance
- Helping mothers prepare meals and encouraging healthy household participation
- Preparing rooms for incoming residents, including cleaning and organizing living spaces
- Assisting with donation organization, inventory, and creating welcome baskets for new mothers
- Tracking and documenting residents, visitors, volunteers, and daily activities within the home
- Explaining the purpose behind house rules and policies to encourage understanding, growth, and responsibility
- Supporting a peaceful, drama-free, Christ-centered community atmosphere
- Completing basic paperwork, reports, and documentation accurately and professionally
- Collaborating closely with supervisors and team members regarding resident care and operational needs
- Referring crisis situations or complex concerns to supervisory staff as appropriate

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
