We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive shipping clerk to assist in our logistics process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for packing and shipping ensuring efficient logistics operations. This role is crucial in supporting our supply chain management efforts and enhancing overall operational efficiency. The requirements listed below are representative of the work environment, knowledge, skills, and/or ability required or preferred.
What the Shipping Clerk will do:
- Review shipping documents for accuracy.
- Pack and prepare parcel shipments.
- Ship using a variety of carriers.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Assist with processing returns.
- Participate in production and sorting tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with sales, technicians, accounting, customer service, and customers to streamline logistics.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and support root cause analysis for discrepancies.
- Participate in annual inventory counts.
What you need:
- At least 3 years of experience in logistics or distribution environments.
- Deep understanding of warehouse workflows and operational best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- SAP experience is a plus.
