Description:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing products. This person in this position must be able to work independently and as part of a team, possess strong organizational and communication skills, be able to meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, and demonstrate a high commitment to safety.
Key Tasks

Receive and unload inbound shipments, confirming counts against purchase orders and packing slips.

Manually lift, carry, and maneuver packages ranging from 50-75 lbs consistently throughout the shift, including bulky or awkwardly shaped items.

Inspect incoming product for damages, defects, or discrepancies and document findings.

Communicate any receiving discrepancies or damaged products to department management immediately.

Accurately stock, label, and put away received product in designated warehouse locations.

Organize and maintain inventory accuracy within the receiving area.

Operate a forklift and pallet jacks.

Troubleshoot receiving discrepancies and day-to-day problems using sound, independent judgment.

Support picking, packing, and preparing outbound orders as needed.

Participate in keeping the receiving area and warehouse clean and organized.

Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times.

Work independently, yet as a collaborative team member.

Take ownership of responsibilities and strive for continuous improvement.

Requirements:
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Solid work history. Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.

Required to operate a forklift for at least 6 months prior experience.

Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Basic computer skills preferred.

Ability to learn and use new software programs. Familiarity with an ERP or related software beneficial.
Physical Requirements

Ability to consistently lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing 50-75 lbs throughout the entire shift, including packages that are bulky or awkward to handle.

Ability to work in a climate-controlled warehouse environment.

Ability to stand, move, squat, reach and climb for up to 8 hours at a time.
