Updation is building an AI powered financial platform for automotive dealerships. We bring vendor contracts, invoices, payments, and accountability together in one place, then use AI and automation to surface fraud, eliminate manual work, and turn financial data into action.
We process millions of dollars in vendor payments through a major banking partner and integrate with every major dealer management system. We are a seed stage company with paying customers, revenue, and a growing pipeline.
We need a software engineer whose core strengths are AI systems and financial infrastructure. You will build the intelligent workflows that process invoices, detect fraud, manage vendor payments, and move money through commercial payment rails. You will also work across our broader stack (React Native, Laravel/PHP, React/TypeScript, MySQL).
This is not a role where AI is a bullet point. AI is the product. We use AI to build our product, and we expect you to do the same.
What You Will Work On:
- LLM powered workflows for invoice processing, contract analysis, and anomaly detection
- AI agent architectures and automation pipelines
- Payment rail integrations, transaction reconciliation, and ledger management
- Virtual card, ACH, and check payment flows
- Compliance and fraud prevention logic
- React Native mobile apps (iOS/Android)
- Laravel/PHP backend APIs and MySQL databases
- REST and GraphQL API integrations
What We Are Looking For:
- 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience
- Real experience in fintech, payments, or banking software (you understand payment rails, ledger systems, and reconciliation)
- Hands on experience building with LLMs, AI agents, or ML pipelines in a production context
- You use AI coding tools daily and can ship production code in frameworks you are still learning
- Comfortable with API design, relational databases, and third party integrations
Valuable Extras:
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- OCR or document processing pipelines
- RAG architectures or vector databases
- Automotive or dealership technology
- AP automation or accounting integrations

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
