We are currently hiring Wheelchair/Ambulatory Drivers for our Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services. This role is ideal for individuals with full availability who are looking to make a real difference by safely transporting gurney-bound passengers to and from medical facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Safely transport ADA passengers and assist passengers in boarding/exiting the vehicle. This includes passengers using mobility devices (i.e. wheelchairs, scooters, walkers).

Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper operation of vehicle, including on-board equipment. Report any conditions which require repair and/or maintenance on the vehicle.

Safely perform scheduled routes dispatched to drivers per on-time performance standards.

Follow safety procedures for loading, unloading and securing all passengers.

Safe operation of vehicles, including adherence to all California DMV laws.

Provide excellent customer service.

Diffuse difficult situations during the work day.

Report delays, accidents, and other traffic issues using authorized communication devices.

Accurately document all trips, odometer readings, beginning/end of shift, and lunch breaks.

Follow defensive driving techniques to minimize the risk of accidents and incidents.

Properly account for all fares collected (program specific).

Immediately report any accident or incident which occurs during the work day.

Comply with all attendance and uniform policies.
