Job Summary:
Constructs aircraft interior parts such as bin doors and ceiling panels by assembling the parts cross section with materials and processing in a press with a match mold tool using engineering drawings, company and customer specifications.
Due to the differences in complexity of the job, and the materials being used, there are extensions associated with the Lay Up Job Description and Title. The list of extensions includes, but is not limited to:

Summary of Duties:
Operates and processes parts in a press.
o Reports any part or process deficiencies to supervisor.
Adheres to company specifications, work instructions, engineering prints and work orders.
Safely loads and unloads molds from press.
Properly maintains and identifies defects in molds and report any findings to supervisor.
Lays up (builds) parts using primarily phenolic impregnated glass, and film adhesives.
Document the materials used in the process to maintain traceability.
Safely handles various regulated materials used in the process.

o Must carefully handle raw material and manufactured parts to ensure the integrity and quality is not compromised by handling.

o As business conditions change it is necessary that all employees productively react and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future.
o Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at division.
