Duties
- Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food production, food safety, and inventory control to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment that encourages growth, accountability, and high standards.
- Lead food preparation and cooking processes for various service periods, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations.
- Manage menu planning alongside the culinary team, incorporating dietary considerations and seasonal ingredients to keep offerings fresh and appealing.
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly, order supplies as needed, and maintain accurate records to optimize food management and minimize waste.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including food handling procedures and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment, ideally with banquet or fine dining experience.
- Extensive culinary background with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing teams in high-pressure settings.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience with menu planning for diverse dietary needs.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, food safety protocols, and food service management practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff and other departments.
