The Laughing Owl Restaurant is looking for friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Servers to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience by taking orders, delivering food and drinks, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has great communication skills, and enjoys working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and provide a warm, welcoming experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while following restaurant standards.
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tables and dining areas.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate orders.
- Process payments, handle cash, and provide correct change.
- Assist with side work, restocking, and closing duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous serving experience preferred but not required—training provided.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain professional under pressure.
- Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods and carrying trays up to 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus or willingness to learn.
