Small Parcel Delivery Driver
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Small Parcel Delivery Driver to pick up and deliver packages efficiently and accurately within an assigned route. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, and committed to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Load, transport, and deliver parcels to residential and commercial addresses in a timely manner
Operate a delivery vehicle safely, following all traffic laws and company policies
Use a handheld scanner or mobile app to confirm pickups and deliveries
Inspect vehicle before and after shifts; report maintenance issues promptly
Obtain signatures or photo confirmation as required
Handle packages with care to prevent damage or loss
Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, route issues, or delivery exceptions
Provide courteous, professional service to customers
Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required paperwork
Qualifications
Must have own reliable vehicle in good working condition (e.g., sedan, SUV, cargo van, sprinter van, or box truck)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Valid vehicle insurance required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior delivery or driving experience a plus, but not required
Ability to lift and carry packages [e.g., 50 lbs]
Comfortable using GPS navigation and mobile delivery apps
Strong time-management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must pass a pre-employment background check (criminal history and driving record)
Physical Requirements
Frequent bending, lifting, walking, and climbing in/out of a vehicle
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Prolonged periods of sitting while driving
Schedule
Contract, opportunities available 7 days per week
