Our client, a globally recognized bakery and beverage retail chain in Union City, CA.is looking for a Class C Driver to join their logistics team. This is an opportunity to grow with a dynamic brand that operates over 1,000 stores worldwide. You will play a vital role in ensuring fresh pastries and beverages reach local cafes safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26-ft box truck to deliver products to various local cafe locations.
- Utilize delivery scanners to track and confirm shipments with precision.
- Load and unload materials using heavy machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Support warehouse operations by assisting with shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
- Meet tight delivery deadlines while adapting to changing daily operational demands.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe road operations.
- Work in various environments, including extreme temperatures such as coolers and blast freezers.
Requirements
- Previous experience driving a 26-ft truck is required; experience in logistics or warehouse environments is preferred.
- Must possess a clean driving record and provide a current medical DOT record.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and utilizing handheld scanners for logistics tracking.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive motions, including bending, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate with cafe managers and logistics teams.
- Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays.
Pay Rate:
- $24.00 to $24.50 per hour
