American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, requiring 5 years of L&D experience in a Level 1 trauma setting and at least 2 years of travel nursing experience.

Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in an acute care hospital setting

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Active OK state RN license or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required

Required certifications (American Heart Association only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor

Minimum of 5 years of L&D nursing experience in a Level 1 trauma setting

Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience

Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred

Proficient in professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of diverse patients and visitors

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient caseload, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Collaborates with patients and families on care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time, for a maximum total of 26 weeks

Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — the facility will not accommodate delayed start dates for non-compliant travelers
