Job Title: WIDA Assessment Specialist

Compensation: $67,000 to $75,000

Summary:
Serve as assessment specialist expert on all required ELL WIDA ACCESS assessments.. The primary focus is to coordinate and execute WIDA related assessments districtwide.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Possess in-depth understanding of the state and federal guidelines for administering the ACCESS for ELLs 2.0.

Plan the logistics of all ELL assessments including but not limited to scheduling space, notifying teacher and family of assigned assessments, tracking completion, and test administration, etc.

Complete all test administration training and certification requirements and familiarize yourself with applicable sections of training materials.

Ensure all staff meet qualifications for administering ELL assessments ? Order and maintain all testing materials and supplies.

Review the state's ELL Assessment checklists for WIDA Coordinators for a full understanding of the tasks and responsibilities.

Maintain test security throughout testing window Receive and inventory test materials.
-
Work with other district ELL staff to collaborate as needed.

Ensure pre-labeled test booklets are provided to the correct student Return test materials to WIDA.

Manage all district aspects of WIDA AMS platform.

Become familiar with the WIDA AMS User Guide in order to learn how to manage student data details.

Ability to work in fast-paced environment and overcome technology challenges.

Assist with yearly operations of the Assessments Team as a whole. Including, but not limited to; large scale support for state testing windows, inventory, material packing/delivery/pickup, scheduling students, paperwork audits, and test administration.

Education and/or Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required ELL Certification strongly preferred.

Bilingual candidates preferred.

Experience with English language learners preferred.

Knowledge and experience with WIDA's Assessment Management System (AMS) required.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office and Google Tools.
- Must have an understanding of using the Google suite as most lessons will be created with that system.
- Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Current driver's license and valid car insurance.

Oklahoma ELL teaching certification (Preferred).
Other Qualifications:

Must be able to pass a state-mandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made.

The person in this position works remotely from their home. Meetings in public places and at Epic offices are also required. Travel to testing sites around the state will be required. Some overnight and extended stays during testing season may be required. The noise level is usually quiet to moderately loud (when students are present).
