Cohenterprises, a Frederick, MD headquartered hospitality development and management company, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and preventive care of the hotel property, equipment, and guest rooms. This role ensures a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for guests and team members while upholding brand and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, etc. to maintain the hotel to product standard.
- Performing preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
- Assist with checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repair and/or replacement.
- Assist in checking and making routine repair and assist on major repair of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools and general pluming systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toiles and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Service hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completing maintenance request forms and record logs.
- Maintain the building exterior and “curb appeal” (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening).
- Requires climbing, reading, standing, walking and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Self-starting and able to work independently to complete work assignments. Be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
Prior hotel experience preferred along with a minimum of 3 years of facility maintenance experience.
