Kingsley Water Damage & Fire Cleanup is hiring an entry-level Restoration Technician in West Columbia, SC, and we will train you into a Client Manager.
You do not need restoration experience. You do not need certifications. We pay for your IICRC training and put you on a defined path: Technician, then Lead Technician, then Client Manager. Client Managers at Kingsley own their own jobs, manage their own customers, and earn more than where you will start.
What we need from you is a strong work ethic, a clean driving record, and the willingness to show up when a family's home is underwater at 2 a.m.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Respond to water, fire, and storm damage calls alongside a Lead Technician
- Set up drying equipment, run water extraction, and handle demolition and containment
- Take moisture readings and job photos, and log documentation in Encircle
- Keep trucks, tools, and equipment clean and ready to deploy
- Follow Kingsley SOPs and IICRC S500/S520 standards under supervision
- Treat every customer with respect on the worst day of their year
- Join the after-hours on-call rotation during your assigned weeks
- Stay storm-ready during hurricane season for large-loss deployments
YOUR PATH TO CLIENT MANAGER
We promote from inside. As you complete training and certifications, you move up:
- Restoration Technician (you, day one): learn the trade, get certified, get paid to train
- Lead Technician: run job sites, lead a crew
- Client Manager: own the customer relationship and the full job from intake to billing
Along the way, you get company-paid IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT), an additional $1 per hour for each certification earned beyond WRT, and a $1 per hour skill raise for scoring 80% or higher on our internal assessment.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test, and comply with random testing
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in crawlspaces, attics, and confined spaces
- Ability to work in heat, cold, and wet conditions, and wear PPE including a respirator
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends during on-call weeks
- Basic math competency and professional communication skills
NICE TO HAVE, NOT REQUIRED
- Any construction, trades, warehouse, landscaping, or labor background
- Existing IICRC certification. We will train you if you do not have one
- Customer service or hospitality experience
PAY AND BENEFITS
- $16 to $18 per hour to start, plus overtime at time-and-a-half over 40 hours
- Weekly pay, every Friday
- $75 bonus for responding to after-hours emergency calls
