Professional Nursing (LPN-RN) Instructor (Cape Coral, FL)
Cape Coral Technical College (CCTC) has an opening for a full-time, Registered Nurse Instructor for the Professional Nursing (LPN-RN) Program. The instructor will be responsible for teaching students in both the classroom and clinical settings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Florida RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with three years of nursing experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Essential Job Functions:
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the Department Chair for five (5) post-secondary Health Science programs.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and accreditation (where applicable) of all Health Science programs.
- Coordinate program planning, scheduling, and faculty/clinical assignments.
- Support teachers with classroom coverage, lab activities, and on-site clinical visits.
- Serve as the primary liaison between administration, faculty, clinical partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in assigned courses.
- Collaborate with college staff and industry partners to ensure program relevance and quality.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, projects, simulations, and practicums and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades in accordance with college policies and accreditation guidelines.
- Participate in program planning, accreditation reviews, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.
- Stay current with developments in industry field and incorporate relevant changes into instruction.
- Promote a safe and respectful environment conducive to student learning.
- Advise, mentor, and provide career guidance to students.
- Adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Education Profession in Florida and meet all school and District policy requirements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
