Cook – Full-Time
Facility: Cherry Hill Nursing and Rehab
Location: Westland, MI
Cherry Hill Nursing and Rehab, a welcoming skilled nursing facility in Westland, Michigan, is seeking an experienced Full-Time Cook to join our dietary team.
In this role, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet established dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Your culinary skills and dedication will help ensure residents receive a high-quality dining experience every day.
Full-Time
Approximately 40 hours per week
Schedule may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements
Follow portion control standards and special diet orders accurately
Prepare food using standardized recipes and proper food safety procedures
Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment
Assist with food storage and inventory rotation in accordance with health and safety regulations
Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure meals are served on time and according to resident needs
Follow all state, federal, and facility dietary guidelines
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum one (1) year of cooking experience required
Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
Culinary training is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
