Job Summary
Bessie Sherrod Price Preparatory Academy is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our team in delivering exceptional support and educational services to children with diverse learning needs. Duties
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans aligned with each child's IEP (Individualized Education Program) to support their unique developmental goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, parents, and caregivers to coordinate services and ensure consistency across educational and therapeutic settings
- Conduct assessments to evaluate behavioral, cognitive, social-emotional, and motor skills using standardized testing tools and observational techniques
- Deliver targeted interventions related to identified student's academic, behavioral, and social emotional needs.
- Adapt instructional materials and classroom activities through instructional modifications to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
- Manage behavior effectively by implementing behavior management strategies tailored for students with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Maintain detailed documentation of progress notes, session reports, compliance records, and communication logs in accordance with educational regulations and best practices
- Skilled in the implementation of I-MTSS Framework.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of special education principles, including IEP development, instructional design, and educational compliance laws
- Expertise in speech therapy techniques, behavioral management for students with special needs, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) methods
- Experience working with children across early childhood education levels K-8.
- Proficiency in curriculum development for literacy education, math skills, sensory integration, and intervention strategies
- Familiarity with learning technology tools such as educational software, communication devices, and assistive technology integration
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement, teacher collaboration, and multidisciplinary team coordination
- Ability to manage classroom environments effectively while fostering a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid Intervention Specialist Licensure recognized by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
* Must be familiar with ETR and IEP processes
* Must be knowledgeable in Special Education laws and policies.

Pay: $24.04 - $25.48 per hour
