LAUNDRY CAPTAIN
Summary Statement
The laundry captain is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the inventory
of linens. S/He treats stains, washes, dries and folds linen.
Primary Duties
1. Inspect dirty laundry for stains/tears before washing.
2. Wash, dry and fold all linen.
3. Identify and treat stains.
4. Fold all clean laundry.
5. Complete linen inventory on a monthly basis.
6. Assure overall cleanliness of the laundry room.
7. Stock shelves and housekeeping carts with clean, folded linen.
8. Notify manager with any discrepancies in linen par/inventory.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Working knowledge of the English language.
Experience in housekeeping/laundry preferred.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional
demeanor.
Ability to operate commercial washers/dryers.
Ability to work independently.
High-school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 20 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
