John Howie Steak is seeking an experienced, motivated kitchen professional ready to take the next step in their culinary career. This is an opportunity to join one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier steak houses and work alongside a team dedicated to excellence, consistency, and hospitality.
We are looking for a strong line cook and natural team leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Position Details
- Full-Time – 40 Hours Per Week
- $30–$33 per hour DOE

Training & Advancement
This position includes comprehensive training across all major kitchen stations and operations, including:
- Prep
- Baking
- Sauté
- Sear
- Broil
- Lead Line Responsibilities
Additional long-term development opportunities are available for candidates interested in advancing into Sous Chef and Chef leadership positions within the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead Line Cook Operations
- Expo and Final Plate Quality Control
- Kitchen Team Leadership & Supervision
- Maintain High Standards of Cleanliness, Organization, and Execution
- Support Inventory Processes and Monthly Counts
- Administrative and Ordering Training Provided
- Assist with Daily Kitchen Communication and Team Coordination
Qualifications
- Open Schedule / Open Availability Required
- Strong Work Ethic and Leadership Skills
- Ability to Perform in a High-Volume, Fast-Paced Environment
- Previous Steak House Experience Helpful but Not Required
- Bilingual English/Spanish Helpful but Not Required
