Join our dynamic team as a Pet Stylist and unleash your passion for animal care! In this vibrant role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of beloved fur babies! Your expertise will help create happy, confident pups (& cats) and satisfied pet owners. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your grooming skills while working in a lively, pet-loving environment where every day is rewarding and full of positive energy.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, haircutting, trimming, and styling tailored to each pet’s breed, individual needs, owner preferences etc.
- Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to uphold health standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide professional recommendations
- Assist with pet care routines such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance
- Support other team members with general duties, assitance etc.
Skills
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs of various sizes and temperaments confidently
- Experience in pet grooming techniques including breed-specific cuts and styling preferences
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting) when handling large breeds (buddy system when needed)
- Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns professionally
